BRIEF HISTORY OF PASPIDA
 
Before the partition the foundation stone of the Association was led down and it was named “Motor Trader Association”.

In 1948 the Association was re-named as “Karachi Motor Parts Dealer Association” with only a few members with two offices one in West Pakistan “Karachi” and other in East Pakistan “Dhaka”.

In 1954 the Association extended its activities in whole of the Pakistan and adopted the new name "The Pakistan Motor Traders Association”.

In 1958 Government of Pakistan announced a new scheme to reorganise the trade bodies and to make them more affective, so that they may play there positive role in the field of Trade, Commerce and industries to boost economy of the country, In the presence of the said scheme our Association was re-inforced, so in 1961 it was incooperated in all pakistan basis as “B” class Association under the new name PASPIDA (Pakistan Automobile Spare Part Importer & Dealer Association).

With the performance and efforts of our senior members our Association was up-graded in 1971 as a “A” class Association by the Director of Trade Organization, since then it is affiliated with the Federation of Paksitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a “A” class Association.

The Head Office of PASPIDA is situated in Karachi and its circle offices are in all four provinces of the Country. PASPIDA (Punjab Circle) office is in Badami Bagh, Lahore whic is one of the largest Auto Parts markets of the World.
